Workers' Compensation: $100,000 Recovery For Hand Injury
Randall sustained injuries to his hands while working for a furniture company in Hickory, North Carolina. The insurance company admitted Randall sustained a compensable injury. However, the insurance adjuster refused to pay for additional medical treatment once the costs started to accumulate. I promptly litigated the issue to obtain the medical and monetary benefits Randall was entitled.
I obtained a ruling from the Industrial Commission that Randall sustained a compensable injury by accident. The Commission determined the recommended medical treatment was necessary to treat his work injury. I further obtained significant monetary benefits (weekly TTD checks) for our client. Pursuant to this victory, Randall received the proper medical care needed to address his ongoing condition.
We subsequently obtained an additional $100,000 for Randall. This was a great victory for our client. It was a great victory to overturn the Defendants denial of compensation, and subsequently obtain such a favorable resolution. Randall is one of the nicest people I have ever assisted. He deserved to be treated right, and I take great pride in helping him.
