41/25 (School Zone)

April 2016

Beth was charged for speeding 41/25 (School Zone).  A conviction for this charge results in 3 N.C. DMV points and a $250 fine (in addition to the court costs / fine).  Given the severity of the consequences of this charge, many potential clients are quite upset regarding this citation.  Beth was quite concerned about the potential impact as well.

I carefully investigated this incident to cross reference our client's statements with the evidence presented by the officer.  I prepared our strategy accordingly, and I diligently negotiated on Beth's behalf.  I ultimately negotiated an amendment to a non-moving violation (no school zone), which had no effect on our client's license or insurance.  I further got the Court to reduce the amount our client was required to pay.

This was a significant victory for our client.  I was very pleased with the overall result.
