Possession Of Marijuana Up To 1/2 Oz. & Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

April 2016

Langley was charged with Possession Of Marijuana Up To 1/2 Oz. & Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Our client was a local student, who had no prior history with the criminal justice system.  Our main objective was to dispose of this charge in a manner that protected our client's long-term personal goals.

I spoke with Langley and her father regarding the charges.  I answered their questions, and provided peace of mind regarding the process.  I made the court appearances for our client, so she could focus on her classes.  I negotiated with the District Attorney for Langley to complete a first-offender program, provided our client with all the appropriate information for make the process easy, and we got this addressed in an efficient manner.  We obtained a dismissal of the charges, which made our client eligible for an expunction to remove the charges completely from her criminal record.

I was quite pleased here as we achieved our intended goal in a very efficient manner.
